Your Role and Responsibilities

Employees in this specialty determine and use the appropriate analytical technique(s) and tools to address business problems through their understanding of current business processes and data manipulation, including data mining and data cleansing methods. They also share their knowledge of analytics tools with their peers as needed, including Kyndryl’s strategy on Big Data and Analytics. Employees analyse large amounts of data utilizing their understanding of key external and internal data sources to evaluate the benefit of a solution to the business and provide business value. They apply agile practices and business acumen to achieve improved business outcomes and to effectively interact with a client. Responsible for managing performance and data collection teams, set up processes and procedures, mentoring and providing direction, set up proper controls, guide team members and build IzPCA reporting for performance, build health checks to analyse exceptions, set up weekly and monthly meetings with senior management on exceptions, performance analysis trends, responsible for WLM and Throughput Manager administration, responsible for buffering products, IzPCA administration, building and helping performance & capacity reporting with IzPCA and responsible for SMF data processing etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Must have 7 plus years of experience in the following areas

• Workload Manager (WLM)Throughput Manager (TM).

• Performance tuning of WebSphere, CICS, DB2, IMS subsystems and z/OS operating system.

• DASD Subsystem tuning.

• Real-time monitoring by using BMC’s Main view or IBM’s OMEGAMON.

• Raw SMF Data Management.

• SCRT Data.

• Raw SMF data.

• SMF data processing by using MICS or MXG.

• SMF data processing by using TDS/IzPCA real-time data streaming.

• TDS/IzPCA Architecture, configuration, Set up, Maintenance & management.

• Able to lead and manage SMF data collection teams and provide guidance and direction.

• Strobe Execution and analysis.

• Mainframe Capacity planning and Management which includes LPDEF set up, Group Caps, Hard Caps, Soft Caps & Absolute Capping Set up, Capacity trending analysis and Workload Analysis with historical SMF data and making recommendation.

• Mainframe Infrastructure performance analysis with historical SMF data to identify exceptions and issues and making recommendations to resolve.

• Setting up Infrastructure health checks for monitoring systems, identifying exceptions, and resolving them before they impact our customer.

• Able to manage and lead the teams and be a technical mentor/manager.

• Able to prepare presentations for senior management and present observations.

• Able to manage weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings with internal teams, senior management and application teams on performance, capacity and data collection activities and provide recommendations.

• Cognos administration and building Cognos reporting portals.

• Excellent analytical and presentation skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
