IBM Resiliency Orchestration team is looking for seasoned engineer, who will be part of high-powered technical team that is responsible for designing & developing the replication software to enable DRaaS for hybrid cloud environments.

The role will be part of the high powered technical team responsible for designing and developing the IBM’s Resiliency Orchestration software suite. The team will be responsible for building the software and solutions to recover from IT failures and make the customers resilient.

The SQA Automation Engineer will contribute in developing, implementing, executing, and troubleshooting automated test tools, test frameworks, and test scripts.

This individual will also be involved in training QA engineers, assisting in release engineering activities, and testing/debugging web applications and APIs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• • Minimum of 7-year in Java development• Strong knowledge of J2E technologies and specifications such as JPA, Servlets, JSP, JSF etc• Hands-on experience on Javascript and HTML • Exposure on developing APIs in Java• Hands-on experience with Java IDEs like Eclipse • Code Repository, version control and build experience• Exposure on Containers • Good knowledge of SQL• Take part in software analysis and technical designs. Understand the business requirements and contribute to the design of the application. Develop, test, debug, implement and maintain application software.• Should have knowledge of system design and architecture• Needs to be hands on to debug issues reported on UI and server side.• Experience in configuration management & defect tracking tools• Communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• • 5+ years of shell/python/Javascript/Perl scripting experience • 5+ years of experience with testing tools such as Selenium, NGTest• 5+ years of experience for Test Planning, Test execution, Test Status Reporting and Test Preparation• 5+ years of hands on system operations/user experience with Linux and Windows• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, WebLoad, etc)• Knowledge of a variety of web application technologies (Web 2.0, JSON, REST) and best practices
