Your Role and Responsibilities
Should have experience on IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Administration
Checking Pre-requisites for agent installation & Designing documents.
Add, Modify, Delete FTA / Agent & Validate FTA/Agent links & Resolve FTA Agent Unlinks.
Administer & maintain automated production scheduling system, product updates/revision.
Administer & maintain Develop & maintain standards for Job [/] Schedule acceptance & implementation.
Identification of critical paths based on statistics of execution & Identification of jobs for parallel. processing & reorg of batch schedules.
Install/document system related batch jobs in the automated job scheduling package.
Maintain Scheduling software functionality/performance.
Support of load balancing across servers when required & applicable.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Testing of new versions/releases, patches after install or upgrades or backouts.
• Good hands-on knowledge in Batch Technologies. Tool: TWS Tivoli Workload Scheduler
[Version: 8.6 above].
• Good hands-on experience in creating scheduling SAP, UNIX, LINUX, and WINDOWS jobs.
• Good hands on in administering TDWC TWS applications (Installation, Upgrade,
uninstallation Troubleshooting).
• Capable of handling P1 incidents engage the right stakeholders for the fix.
• Knowledge in Dynamic agents’ concepts and configurations.
• Knowledge in Event rule management troubleshooting.
• Ability to develop/debug PERL, Shell scripts (Beginner/Intermediate) – for TWS
administration.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Good verbal oral communication skills.
• Should be flexible to work in any shifts depending on the project requirements.
• Ability to take ownership for issues see them through to resolution.
• Self-motivated learner.
• Good fluency in English communication.
• Proactive and flexible attitude (24/7) support.
