Your Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for installing, managing and upgrading UNIX/LINUX based systems and servers. They are responsible for the maintenance, configuration and operations of Linux Systems. The system administrator seeks to ensure that the performance, reliability and security of the systems is maintained. maintaining the system with patches and upgrades, and security of the systems, ensuring system backup are configured and working. To accomplish this the systems administrator installs software, software upgrades and patches, provides routine automation; maintains security policies; troubleshoots; and provides technical support. Infrastructure Specialists for Hybrid Cloud Projects (UNIX/LINUX) deliver multi-cloud & infrastructure project services leveraging their UNIX/LINUX subject matter expertise in both traditional and cloud environments. Services include design, implementation and customization of products and technology delivered in a time-bound, milestone based project schedule driven by client requirements and delivered using IBM service methodology. Project services typically involve heavy interaction with the client in support of concluding the project to meet the client’s requirements.”

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 8+ years’ Experience in IT

• Configure and troubleshoot Active directory, DNS and Group Policy, DHCP, WINS

• Troubleshooting using Performance Monitor or any other tools, Event Viewer and Network Monitor

• Install, Configure and Maintain IBM,HP and Dell Hardware

• Implement, Manage and troubleshoot various Anti-virus applications (SEP, McAfee, etc.- )

• Problem determination and resolution within SLA’s with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Produce detailed and accurate technical documentation

• Highly self-motivated and directed.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to effectively prioritize, organize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Windows server patch management using tools such as WSUS, SCCM, LANDesk, Shavlik etc…

• PowerShell cmdlet and scripting knowledge

• Experience with SCOM and other monitoring tools such as Orion, IPMonitor etc…

• Certification in ITIL will be a strong plus

• MCSA or MCSE Certification on Windows server 2008 or Windows Server 2012 is a strong plus
