ABOUT LTPCT (L&T Public Charitable Trust)
The L&T Public Charitable Trust was instituted in 2004 by Founder Chairman Mr. A M Naik, to instill philanthropic values at every level of the organization. Mr. Naik encourages L&T-Ites to give back to the society and employees, in turn, contribute to this Trust’s corpus.
The Company matches employee contributions with an equivalent grant. LTPCT works in partnership with NGOs, Govt., and other stakeholders with the objective of reducing duplication of efforts, enhancing scalability, and implementing the learnings to multiply the impact.
Since its inception, the Trust has touched the lives of two million underprivileged children, women, and youth in three states where LTPCT operates i.e. Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. LTPCT also receives grant from other L&T group companies in addition to its own fund for various programme implementation. LTPCT thrust areas are Education, Health, Skill-Building, livelihoods and Water & Sanitation through its Comprehensive Community Development Programme.
The Trust always believed in focusing on its guiding principles of remaining in smaller geographies and saturating its interventions to impact lives at last mile.
Along with strengthening, monitoring, and reviewing, the Trust has been able to deliver result-based programmes and create meaningful synergies through collaborations with the Government, international partners, bilateral agencies, and other not-for-profit sector institutions.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Programme Director shall be responsible for implementing program strategy in line with the organization ‘s guiding principles.
She/he will lead a diverse team of professionals who are part of the program implementation teams and provide leadership, vision and inspiration to the associates and other departmental staff with an emphasis on collaboration and cohesiveness.
Incumbent would be responsible for management of budgets for community health initiatives, reporting to CSR donors, designing new programmes and implementation.
Most importantly, the Programme Director would manage the trust budget, statutory compliance and coordination on trust matters with all stakeholders.
The incumbent will report to Head, Larsen & Toubro Public Charitable Trust.
CORE PROGRAMME FOCUSSED RESPONSIBILITIES
Design program strategy to scale up & widen program outreach and impact.
Scan macro environment to capture core insights to design outcome driven, sustainable programs. Lead program teams for effective program implementation and timely reporting Align & network with other CSR and public funders.
Strengthen LTPCT’s position as a thought leader in the sector.
Provide technical know-how for all field staff and NGO partners.
Administrative responsibilities: Guide & Supervise program staff in their day-to-day functioning. Support program leads to set up SOPs and systems to develop impactful strategies.
Align work plan, budget and activities across all the programs undertaken by LTPCT.
Organize knowledge dissemination workshops, reporting, and communications.
Oversee data management and evaluation/implementation of new technology.
Identification of new projects, preparation of proposals and placing them before the Board of Trustees.
Coordinate with the Secretarial, Taxation and other Departments of L&T for compliance of various statutory requirements of the Government.
Networking with NGOs, Government/Semi Government or Local Bodies to enhance image of the Trust and popularize its activities.
Develop effective systems of monitoring of the ongoing projects of the Trust.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Master’s in social science/ MBA / Economics/ Development studies with base degree & proven track record of minimum 15-20 years leading program function in a mid-size organization.
Age between 45-55 Years of age
Should have experience of building programmatic capacity of an organization.
Should be part of the Leadership Team for more than three years.
Should have experience of participating in a strategic planning process for the organization Should have Experience of leading multidisciplinary team.
Should have experience of donor management and trust management.
Should have knowledge of Statutory compliance, Charity commission and FCR.
