• Preparation of Enquiry/RFQ for Materials, Bought-out, Sub-contracting and Outsourcing items as required for costing.
• Vendor offer status review, Vendor selection and cost optimization
• Services (Project Management, Logistics, TPI, Client Facility etc.) Costing
• Taxation Calculation as per Project requirement
• Insurance, BG, Capital Charge etc. working and finalization
• Parametric Comparison (Based on scope analysis) and Target Project costing
• Value Engineering/ Constructability implementation
• Commodity and Forex Exposure for Contingency and Exchange rate consideration
• Risk Assessment and Contingency finalization
• Implementation of cost reduction initiatives
• Implementation of Past Project/ Proposal Learning and Preparation of Item-wise/Discipline-wise target costing
• SOP Documentation/ requirement

Prime Responsibilities

Carry out Proposal and Estimation activities as follows for Onshore and Offshore Modular Fabrication projects such as PAU/PAR Modules, Jackets, Platforms, Piles, Sub-Sea Modules, Piping Spools, Skids, E-House, Equipments, etc.,Detailed study of complete client RFQ/ITB/Enquiry documents & specifications and generation of pre-bid queries and ensure the timely submission to Client.

• Liaison with Centralized Marketing and Proposal & Estimation team for timely submission of TQ’s, CQ’s and bid deliverables to client.
• Co-ordinate with Internal Stake Holders (Design, Procurement, Sub-Contract, Project, Planning, QA/QC, Production, HSE, Warehouse, HR & Admin and F&A to gather pre-bid queries and inputs for bid deliverables
• Floating enquires to Various sub-vendor for Raw Materials, Consumables, Bought items, Insulation, Paint, Fire Proofing, Machining services, Load out, etc., and clarify vendor queries if any, expedite the vendor offers and evaluate & prepare cost comparison table.
• Liaison with Procurement & Sub-Contract teams for obtaining the quotes for sub-contractor labour/ outsourcing activities.
• Preparation of Manpower and Equipment Histogram as per Schedule requirements.
• Carry out detailed Cost Estimation for Direct Manpower, Equipment, Materials & Consumables and Indirect cost as per Client requirements for Fabrication, Assembly, Testing, Pre-commissioning of various discipline such as Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Painting, Insulation, Fire Proofing and Preservation for the above referred product lines.
• Liaison with E&I team for E&I costing, consolidate and integrate into client BOQ.
• Consolidation of complete cost estimation as per client requirements and review with Manager and Dept. Head for Management Approval.
• Identify and tabulate the pre-bid risk & opportunities based on client documents/internal stake holder inputs, carry out risk analysis and participation in Management Risk Reviews.
• Maintaining of Costing Database as per company requirements and policy.
• Preparation of Cost Budget Sheet for secured project in line with final estimates and review with Manager and Dept. Head for Management Approval to release to Project team.
• Assist in document handover to the Project Team
• Archive of department documents as per SOP.

Key competencies – Functional

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.,)
• Experience in Oil and Gas Projects – site construction activities
• Knowledge of Taxation, Insurance, Contracts etc.
• Exposure / Understanding of Global Proposal & Estimation practices in Modular Fabrication.
• Understanding of International Business / Requirements
• Understanding of Project Life Cycle

Nice to have

Knowledge in MS Project/Primavera for L2/L3 Schedule Preparation.
