Job Description

: We are looking for an experienced Azure SQL Developer to be part of a fledgling team that isbuilding Healthcare product applications based on Microsoft Azure. The person will be leadingefforts to build enterprise scale transactional and analytics systems in Healthcare domain forUS, India market. The position requires someone with deep knowledge of SQL Server andrelated technologies both on -premise and Azure Cloud. Must have experience in various datarelated roles including but not limited to data systems architecting, design and development,implementing large scale enterprise applications and analytical solutions and leading team ofjunior developers to deliver solutions. Preferred experience in Healthcare industry.Responsibilities:

• Understand client requirements, demonstrate expertise in negotiations and drive discussions

that brings clarity and details that can have positive influence on overall quality

• Develop Database components using Azure SQL Database SQL Server and related

technologies and implementing best engineering designs

• Develop business applications on the cloud (Microsoft Azure) implementing Ecommerce,

Marketplace and Operational components enabling digital transformation for healthcare

• Proactively manage the assigned task, schedule, mitigate risks and delivery on time at

highest quality

• Engage with Customers and stakeholders in all phases of project life cycle – requirements

gathering, solution design reviews, development, testing, UAT, delivery and support.Deliver innovation in design and solutions leveraging latest best practices in the area of
expertise, evangelize across the team to adopt them, and continuously keep updated
oneself on latest technologies

• Roll off sleeves to get hands on with development efforts at any level, assisting developers

and/or developing oneself to keep project going

• Mentor team of Junior engineers from database developers, analytical experts and data

integration/visualization engineers providing technical & non-technical guidance to help them
grow their skills, deliver quality implementations for successful completion of projects

• Follow best practices for data systems development and diligently enforces them across the

projects through combination of process, education, training and sufficient review processes

• Ensure quality of team members consistently meets/exceeds set standards and

expectations

• Occasional travel to client and partner locations

Required Qualifications

• 1-5 years of relevant experience in design and development of data systems (SQL Server based on Cloud/on premise and Analytics) at enterprise scale

• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related fields

• Must have at least 2+ years of experience in development experience using Azure SQL Database, SQL Server

• Must have at least 1+ yearexperience in building large scale transactional system and analytics systems involving Service Oriented /3-tier architecture using SQL Server and related technologies

• Primary technical expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL Database

• Must be hands on, deeply technical and exposure to latest features within SQL Server, able to do both coding and guide group of junior/mid-level database engineers

• Must have excellent communication skills (English) to interface with US clients directly and verify in proficient in all types of communication modes – Listening, Reading,

Writing and Speaking

• Must have strong experience in Performance Tuning / Optimization Initiatives using

DB Profiler tools

• Combination of working in a startup for few years and in large company/product for few years

• Healthcare industry experience in dealing with industry specific data and exposure to relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

• Ability to act independently to resolve issues, excellent communication (English) and interpersonal skills, strong critical & analytic thinking

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server, Azure SQL database and/or related technologies

• Experience in .NET/C# and web technologies to enable data access through API, Web services and from Apps

• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, Document DB

• Experience in Data Visualization tools like Power BI, SSRS, or equivalent

• Experience in building reporting systems on the cloud, data ingestion, data platform development using open source technologies
