Lionbridge is looking for a Senior BI Developer to join our team, with a mix of analytical, technical and soft skills to continue our journey as a data-driven culture with scalable business intelligence. This is an opportunity to be creative to deliver insights to internal stakeholders as well as to delight our external customers with innovative dashboarding and storytelling of data insights. As a team member you will be able to increase your experience with latest technologies, including workflow automation, cloud storage, data security and machine learning. The job requires you to mine data using complex tools and software and then analyze that data to find trends. Once you spot data trends, you’ll need to effectively communicate your findings to a cross functional team. You’ll also be responsible for suggesting possible solutions to fix issues that you find. In this role, you will be assigned challenging dashboard and reporting requests and you’ll be responsible for planning your project; developing the programming; communicating data insights and training business partners on the use of the dashboards and reports.

Your Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the business requirements for dashboards, reports and data insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics
• Create project plan with estimated level of effort, availability of data, and blockers, if any, for management approval and prioritization
• Develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions
• Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities
• Design and build technical processes to address business issues
• Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables with an audit trail and validation compared to project requirements and independent control reports
• Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies and outliers
• Manage and optimize ETL processes for data intake, mining, and validation
• Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, business operations, sales operations, marketing and product teams
• Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, data privacy and regulatory requirements
• Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to product, technology, and business solutions to meet these needs
• Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective collaboration with stakeholders
• Communicate results and business impacts of insights to stakeholders

Main Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Intermediate dashboard design and development, preferably with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and/or Power Virtual Agents)
• Intermediate SQL programming – ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
• Analytics mindset and independent formulation of hypothesis, test plan, data analysis and interpretation of results
• Student of BI and data trends, including transformation from self-service to self-sufficiency and mass consumption of data stories
• Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units
• Knowledge of data analysis to solve real-world problems across Finance, Operations, Sales & Marketing business units
• Understanding of financial analysis, Profit & Loss statements, interpretations of sales trends, revenue and profitability drivers
• Self-motivated with positive and energetic attitude
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, oral and written
• High standard of written and spoken English
• Good people management skills; ability to create a vision for projects and inspire a cross functional team (BI, UX, IT, R&D) to help make it a reality
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships and communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of a Global organization
• Mastery of all Microsoft Office applications, Excel (including pivot tables, slicers, macros), PowerPoint, Outlook, & Teams

• Programming in R, Python or similar programming language used in data analytics and machine learning
• Data governance (privacy, GDPR, data regulations) and identity and access management, such as Azure Active Directory
