Electrification of vehicles specially for commercial use ranging from 2W, 3W to LCVs to HCVs will not only have a significant positive impact on the environment, but will lead to huge cost savings as well. However, different vehicle platforms have unique requirements and hence there cannot be a one-type fits all battery technology.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform in-house post-mortem characterization tests on Li-ion cells to support R&D work and communicate results to the team lead
- Follow assigned standard test procedures when carrying required characterisation methods
- Responsible to analyse test results from characterization techniques like XRD (Rietveld refinement preferred), XPS, SEM, HR-TEM with SAED pattern analysis, BET surface area and porosity analysis, FTIR and RAMAN
- Coordinate samples (and results) for characterization with external agencies
- Ability to interpret analytical and cell test data using materials characterization and electrochemical techniques to establish process and property relationship
Essential Skills
- Experience with handling material characterisation techniques
- Good knowledge background in battery fundamentals and cell chemistry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good data analysis skills. Familiar with Minitab, Origin and MS Excel highly desired
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and standard operating procedures
