Job Description

We are looking for Jaybird iOS mobile applications developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be the development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products are essential.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

• Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in CS, EE, CE or related discipline

• 8+ years of developing mobile applications in iOS

• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.

• Experience with Apple MFI and with Apple developer program and the iOS developer community

• Expert with Objective-C or Swift, and Cocoa Touch.

• Experience in working with Audio data is a plus.

• Excellent debugger – have a knack for understanding and fixing issues.

• Exposure to Agile development methodology with scrum sprints

• Experience with Bluetooth a definite plus

• Exposure to Agile development methodology with scrum sprints

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines

• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Familiarity with continuous integration

• Past experience as the primary or sole developer for one or more existing released iOS applications a plus

• Excellent communicator (both oral and written)

• Experience with writing documentation

• Team player (loves to have fun working together with other people)

• Experience in working with engineers overseas (US, Australia, China..etc) a plus.
