Role Purpose
Supporting cyber defense capabilities tools to protect the group from cyber threats which seek to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of group assets. The domain area is Malware Protection
Key Responsibilities :

• Provide a high level of technical and subject matter expertise in Malware Protection and serve as a point of escalation for technical issues related to the service
• Create and maintain appropriate documentation for systems by document control standards and procedures
• Use innovative methods, including the redesign of process and providing technical solutions, to reduce the volume and mean time to recover incidents
• Collaborate with the business, third-party vendors, developers, application support, and technical operations groups to resolve any issues impacting key applications
• Provide day to day operational support for the Infrastructure Security Management Service by adhering to Incident, Change & Problem management procedures
• Provide specialist support during complex and/or major incidents. When required, lead recovery efforts during major incidents within the business unit
• Analysis and design of the complex solutions and requirements definition, including translating technical and business requirements into physical installations, costing design elements, and obtaining agreement to proposed solutions
• Collaborate with internal and external groups, when required, to fully support environments and maintain service
• Identify risks & issues, and take ownership, to deliver appropriate solutions
• Working with the Security Engineering Malware Protection team to develop the support processes and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and writing skills and should be able to work in shifts 24/7

Critical Deliverables:

• Delivery of activities against agreed cyber security strategies.
• Operational 2nd line support and maintenance of domain area tools and meet SLAs and KPIs
• Management of services delivered to the group by vendors and partners.
• Delivery of projects and BAU activities within agreed timescales to the required standard.
• Key artifacts for the activities performed by the role exist are accurate and of the required standard.

Technical/Job Functional Knowledge

• At least 7-9 years implementing and supporting security infrastructure and topologies in both On-perm and Cloud
• Strong working knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
• Good working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
• Implements security solutions infrastructure and/or application including the design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment of security-related technologies such as Endpoint Security like McAfee EPO, McAfee VSE, McAfee ENS, and McAfee VSE for Storage
• Strong knowledge of Encryption and EDR tools is an added advantage.
• Understanding the latest cyber security trends and events in financial services
• Responding to service issues, problems, and critical situations to support the resolution and minimize downtime
• Experience writing standard operating procedures, system requirements, and technical documents
• The role holder works independently and with guidance only in the most complex of situations. The role holder is expected to solve problems with sound judgment and in a way that is aligned to good practice and in the long-term interests of the organization.
• Security certifications are a plus.

Education Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
