Mackay Communications Hiring for Accounts Payable Specialist at Mumbai Full Time

Mackay Communications, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist, who has very good English skills who has the qualifications and experience listed below, for our office in Mumbai, India.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Payable Specialist will work with all facets of accounts payable, purchasing, inventory, vendors, and in the accounting department for a growing international marine service provider. Prior corporate accounts payable experience a plus.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST TASKS:

• Regularly communicate with the Corporate Accounting team in the USA.
• Responsible for reviewing, entering, and coding invoices as well as disbursements.
• Research vendor and depot requests.
• Bank reconciliations: wires/drafts, outstanding checks, main operating account.
• Weekly cash deposits, maintaining cash reports, and other related tasks or records.
• Matching and disbursing shipping invoices.
• Monthly credit card reclasses and expenditures.
• Clears payments made from domestic and foreign bank accounts.
• Initiate journal entries, when required.
• Filing vendor documents, as necessary.
• Accounts Payable coordination and vendor reconciliations, as needed.
• Involved in special projects/analyses as assigned.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• 3+ Years of corporate Accounts Payable experience
• Must be proficient at speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate in a clear, concise, and effective manner in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to details coupled with strong quantitative abilities.
• Consistently meet various accounting deadlines coupled with professional demeanor.
• Self-starter with a high-energy level; able to work independently or with a team.
