Maersk is looking for an experienced Warehousing & Distribution Supervisor / Executive, who would spearhead the Warehousing product execution for Bhiwandi Warehouse Operations, reporting to the Asst. Manager Operation. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of Customer at Bhiwandi Warehouse; strategically plan, manage and execute the Operations in Coordination with Asst. Manager Operations and Customers, following all the Process and Procedures within the norms of safety and compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for efficient management of Inbound/ Outbound/ Returns management of Warehousing & Distribution (WnD) & Logistics operations for the Bhiwandi warehouse (Mumbai)

Responsible for managing all Operational and administration function of the Bhiwandi facility as Planning of Manpower, Infrastructure, Technology and day to day operational activity.

Ensuring Operational excellence within the Bhiwandi facility with relevant Compliances, policies and procedures.

Providing Complete Operational Support to Asst Manager Warehouse Operations and relevant customers, drive the operations and achieve all the agreed KPI’s.

Working in coordination with Asst Manager Warehousing on issues related to headcounts and staff planning.

Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and improvement of the warehouse operations by maintaining the healthy relations with On roll and Off roll staffs, Labours and Vendors.

Responsible for health and safety governance and operating governance along with collaborating with relevant functions and other product lines within Maersk

Supporting Asst. Manager warehousing Bhiwandi for achieving the financial and non-financial targets for the facility/ facilities in scope.

Take proactive steps to optimize key business operating variables to maximise efficiencies, throughput and drive cost leadership

Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle while ensure high degree of inventory accuracy

Resolve escalations and root cause problems with lasting solution.

Storage capacity: 15000 Pallet positions (approx.)

Storage type: Vertical (Heavy Duty racking up to G+7)

Financial overview:
We look for:
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in logistics industry, hands on experience in operations management, Team management & PNL management

Experience in managing a huge multi-client Operations and Handling a Big team of Approx. 150-200 people.

Strong skill set in Warehousing and Distribution, Contract logistics, Process and Compliance requirements; experience of setting up Warehouses preferred

Understanding of container shipping industry and an ability to relate with allied industries e.g. Chemical (DG/Non-DG), FMCD, FMCG, Retail/Lifestyle, Auto, Hi-tech, etc.

Experience in managing the operations in cost effective and productivity optimization through process improvement, as well as design and implementation of new process / systems

Ability to provide leadership, obtain cooperation to meet objectives, drive engaging team environment

Post graduate studies in general management / supply chain management preferred

Fluent in local language (Marathi) and English
