Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Should be able to visualize and develop design concepts within the consideration of functional requirement (design / cost / weight targets), position (spatial arrangement, interactions, boundary conditions), geometry (dimension/tolerance etc.), gap and flushness considering the vehicle level requirements/ constraints of systems/subsystems (as an input to the SOR) and implement Lighting System – Exterior & Interior
Benchmarking of lighting technologies
POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards/requirements with in project time line.
Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues
Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
Should have detail knowledge in Optics, CAD packaging and Design
Knowledge in CAE Thermal, Vibraton & Condensations
Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics HW
Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of tools used in DFMEA, problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools
Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.

Experience

11 to 13 years

Industry Preferred

Any other OEM or Tier I like Magnetti Marrelli, Varroc, Valeo, etc.,

Qualifications

BE/B Tech Mechanical Engineering
BE/B Tech Automobile engineering
BE/B Tech Mechatronics Engineering

General Requirements

Interfacing with all inter dept teams right from marketing to service as so to start from understanding the marketing requirements and till service related activities. i.e., from start to end of project Abreast on latest technologies across industry Maintaining quality level tragets as per agreement Adhering to committed timelines Program management & detailed documentation Open to short/medium term travel on need basis, across India & overseas
