Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Responsible for understanding the elements that compose the cost of a product and build a Should Cost Model.
• Support Engineering and Purchasing in evaluating design cost
• Part level costing for competitor vehicle teardown exercises for benchmarking purposes.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities along with process efficiency improvements.
• Able to work-out various cost drivers of product cost and evaluate the product cost
• Experience in reading engineering drawing
• Having good knowledge of machining processes
• Conversant with manufacturing 4.0 ( MES )
• Familiar with various type of casting and forging processes
• Familiar with tools and tooling’s , fixtures of casting and forging machining
• Familiar with GDnT , tolerance stacking , assembly process
• Should have good knowledge about casting , forging machining
• Conversant with GPM , SPM , advanced machining process of 4 axis and 5 axis
• Conversant with cell , line , process layouts of machining
• Conversant with gear manufacturing process
• Benchmarking analysis with competitors product at system , sub-system level
• Conversant with various surface treatments and heat treatments processes
• Good knowledge of Excel, power point , SAP etc
• Familiar with automotive manufacturing product flow, work instructions and tool families
• Knowledge of Lean, TPM, TQM and various industrial engineering concepts
• Working knowledge of statistical regression analysis

Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical , Production , Industrial engineering

General Experience

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing , production , machining lines
• Design software like AutoCAD , Catia , UG NX , Solid works , Creo , PLM TC will be added advantage

• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and complexity

• Analytical ability to solve problems that are unique and sometimes complex
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with cross functional peers
• Strong knowledge in part production cycle times, material utilization and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering background
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or similar
• Knowledge of SAP
• Familiar with product structure, model viewing & measurements.
• Ability to design and implement new cost reports.
• Able to communicate and present cost data information to senior level leadership.
• MS Excel-Pivot Tables, Lookups
• Ability to assimilate a large amount of cost data and clearly condense / communicate information to Customers during meetings/ work with

project engineers to summarize in an efficient way
