Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Process feasibility study for new product requirements in existing facilities
2. Benchmarking electrical controls, automation & systems for energy efficiency & corrosion protection enhancement of product
for various Powertrain assembly line
3. New product planning – Facility, tools, gauges & fixtures, budget workout, procurement & implementation. Study to Sweat existing equipment to maximum.
4. Work out a budget for equipment & related civil/utility requirements.
5 Adaptation of new products in existing facilities with Equipment enhancements for the introduction of new models and variants.
6. Study the process and product requirements and Guide others in selecting the right equipment and controls based on requirements.
7. Interact with manufacturing and collect equipment-related MTBF and MTTR Data and incorporate the same in new equipment requirement RFQ preparation.
8. Interacting with teams and facilitate lesson learned sessions for on going and concluded projects and take action accordingly for RFQ preparations.
9. Contribute and lead team members to create Architecture for controls and Robotics. Also, creation of checksheets for Design buy off/Equipment buy off at supplier ends.
10. Scouting various suppliers, Coordinate with suppliers discussing with suppliers technically /Creating a comparison matrix by SWOT analysis and helping Capital purchase to negotiate and decide on the best equipment supplier.
11. Confirming the adherence of RFQ by suppliers in terms of agreed specification quality and timely delivery.
12. Identify and eliminate the capacity constraints as per volume demand using method study tools (Man-Machine charts, deciding the online-offline strategy, low-cost automation. etc.).
13. Detail study of sustainable New technology processes, equipment, systems, material evaluation for implementation
14. Conducting MFMEA along with equipment suppliers.
15. Installation & commissioning and post-installation support.
