Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

‘- To design & develop LV & HV electrical architecture – 1D, 2D, 3D with 2D harness drawing creation, E&E architecture for xEVs (LV (48V) & HV (400V & 800V) Vehicles)

• To conduct robust design reviews (DFA,DFS, DFM), DFMEA’s before releasing the parts in PLM to ensure first time right product delivery.
• To prepare system level DVP & EOL requirements to validate the design.
• To support engineering builds to identify failures and conduct root cause analysis through 8D methodology and implement the corrective actions.
• To prepare detailed BOM and maintained open issues list of E&E system part of pack
• To prepare design concept sheet for E&E components and to share it with different supplier before finalizing the design.
• To review the circuit for VCU and to have base knowledge on CAN matrix of EV xCUs and to have base knowledge on Diagnostics system management of xEVs ECU
• To initiate, interact with CFT & lead the design engineering for system integration to realise the required E&E feature with Quality, Cost & Time.
• To release all technical specification to suppliers for components/systems for pack E&E systems.
• To validate the components by making proper functional, abuse test cases in both component, pack & vehicle level so as to give issue free product to customer

Experience

10 to 12 years

Industry Preferred

OEM in EV – Electrical domain, Tier 1 suppliers (for EV specific systems)

BE/B Tech Electrical Engineering

BE/B Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering

BE/B Tech Automobile engineering

ME/M tech ElectricalEngg / ECE/ Automobile

General Requirements

• Ability to interface with all internal CoE teams & Tier 1 supplier from start to end of project to ensure First Time Right quality product
• Knowledge & awareness of development agencies and testing at agency like ARAI / VRDe / ICAT / TUV / UL Lab
• Awareness of vehicle technical symposiums, conference etc.,
• Knowledge on systems like design review’s/ DFMEA’s
• Knowledge on battery pack electrical system and interfacing parts.
• Knowledge on Manufacturing of E&E aggregates part of Pack design
• Knowledge on Maintaining quality level targets as per agreement
• Knowledge on CAD Simulation: Capital (Harness, Logic & Database), VeSys 2.0, Creo 3.0 & Pro -Cabling, AutoCAD & Catia V5 (Electrical)
• Knowledge in Vehicle electronics & In Vehicle networking systems – Body control module, ABS/ESP, Airbag &Infotainment, Communication protocols like CAN & LIN
• Knowledge in selection of LV & HV connectors, LV & HV fuses, HV Current Sensors, HV Smart Fuse, HV DC Contactors, LV, HV Wiring harness for both HV & LV systems
• Expertise on potential cost savings through VAVE & optimizing technique, without compromising functional, performance, reliability, safety requirements & quality level of the parts.
• Expertise in interacting with the CFTs for interface control document.
• Knowledge in CAN DBC, LIN LDF and Vector CAN tool defines and develops high level system architecture to module design teams.
• Knowledge on power train system including the base knowledge of electric vehicle and associated systems like Battery, OBC, DCDC & E motor
