Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

(1) Should have good knowledge of Automobile/Tractor systems and their applications.

(2) Should have good understanding of Automobile/Tractor subsystem & their working principle.

(3) Should have good fundamentals – Strength of materials, Applied mechanics and Finite element methods

(4) Should be able to do finite element modelling of Automobile/Tractor systems.

(5) Should be able to assign thickness and material properties to components

(6) Should be able to build finite element assemblies for structure. Should have good understanding of different types of connections like spot and seam welding.

(7) Should be able to apply loads and Boundary conditions required for linear and nonlinear Static analysis.

(8) Should be able to carry out Modal, frequency response and transient analysis for vehicle components and systems.

(9)Should be able to do Fatigue life estimation for Vehicle structure, Spot and seam welds.

(10) Ability to postprocess results, make reports and present results to design team.

(11) Should be able to recommend design modifications to meet acceptance criteria based on analysis results, manufacturing and packaging constraints.

(12) Should have knowledge of different tests for Automobile/Tractor and test instrumentations.

(13) Should be able to co-ordinate with external agencies for load acquisitions for structural analysis.

(14) Should be able to correlate CAE results with physical test results.

(15) Should be ready to travel and visit fields for practical understanding of applications.

Experience

MTECH with 3-4 Years in CAE of Automobile/Tractor systems. – Durability DomainBTECH with 4-6 Years in CAE of Automobile/Tractor systems. – Durability Domain

Should be experienced in

(1) Meshing – ANSYS Workbench or Hypermesh

(2) Solvers – ANSYS Workbench or Nastran/Optistuct/Abaqus ((Linear and Non Linear analysis) or LsDyna

(3) Post processing – ANSYS Workbench or Hyperview

(4) FEMFAT

Required Skills -Linear Static, Modal, Non Linear, FRF, Fatigue

Others skills preferred – Knowledge of Optimization, Multibody Dynamics and Explicit simulation

Industry Preferred

Candidate from OEM and tractor industry will be preferred.

Qualifications

M.Tech/M.E/B.Tech- from IIT or other reputed institute
