Role – Senior Executive – Content Writer

Reporting To – Associate Director

Location – Gurgaon

About the role – The Hotels Content team of MakeMyTrip is an integral part of the hotels’ LOB for both domestic and international hotels. It is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of all customer and partner-facing communication and enhancing the overall booking experience on the app/website through relevant content touchpoints. The team specialises in end-to-end content workflows, ranging from concise and informative funnel copies to long-form content.

About the role – This role demands a clear understanding of customer behavior to produce content that helps them make informed buying decisions. The position requires collaboration with crossfunctional teams including Supply, Category, Creative, and Product to gather information on current or future projects and then plan content deliverables around these initiatives on a monthly or quarterly basis. In this role, one gets to drive the end-to-end strategy and management of projects while ensuring adherence, consistency, and compliance with pre-defined content guidelines.

Whta will you be doing –

• Researching industry-related topics – combining online and offline sources. Creating clear, error-free, and persuasive content for different lines of businesses.
• Preparing and updating well-structured copies on the CMS. Writing extensive and accurate hotel descriptions with well-researched and authentic data points.
• Working on feature launch announcements and short app copies. Curating content in different formats – long-form, short form, SEO, video content and more.
• Ensuring 100% consistency in content (style, format, font) and images. Conducting competitor analysis for content parity. Identifying gaps in the existing content and suggesting new ideas based on customer and business demands.
• Working closely with the Supply and Product teams to enhance content on the website/app. Developing a deep understanding of the domestic & international hotels segment to create unique and relevant content

Qualification and Experience –

• Graduation/Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or related field with excellent communication skills (preferred)
• 2-4 years’ work experience in travel/e-commerce industry
