– JOB TYPE :- FULL TIME, ROTATIONAL SHIFT

JOB DESCRIPTION

– To assist Cardiac Surgeries

– Should be competent in vein harvesting

– To take over and hand over the patient to the floors/ ICU.
– Maintain a clean and sterile OT at all times.
– Check and maintain all records of OT equipment and take necessary actions whenever required
– Plan and schedule all OT supplies/ instruments/ equipment effectively so that they are optimally utilized
– Maintain the OT records with respect to patients and equipment as per policy
– Plan and schedule manpower for surgeries effectively without wastage of time and manpower.
– Managing and providing supportive staff during critical incidents/ emergency situations.
– Be open to discuss any sentinel events/ near misses for promoting corrective action and ensuring high quality patient care.
– To assist in ensuring OT policies and procedures are followed at all times
– Ensure identification safety for collection of specimens during collection and till the report informed to consultant.
– Participate in consultants rounds and assist by giving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment and observations.
– Carry out routine check at each handover that all equipments are in working order.
– Maintain patients and accompanies safety by taking preventive measures against accidents.
– Accurately records and reports incidents.
– Ensure every error to be recorded.
– Ensure strict infection control protocol and bio-waste guidelines to be followed for 24×7.
– Ensure that daily briefing points and sign off are mandatory for day to day update
