JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform procedures within a sterile operating environment, including cardiac catheterization, aortic aneurysm repair, valve replacement, and minimally-invasive approaches
Establish and maintain appropriate and efficient working relationships with all members of the care team, including nurses, perfusionists, radiologists, and other specialists
Consult with patients, their families, and other members of the care team
Develop and implement original research studies that advance research, knowledge, and patient care
Submit and approve clinical research protocol, protocol amendments, and study reports
Participate in clinical research governance activities to maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Perform medical staff and hospital committee responsibilities
Inform, educate, and collaborate with other clinicians on clinical procedures, diagnostic approaches, treatment protocols, and outcomes
Participate in educational programs to present educational sessions at medical meetings, conferences, and symposia.
