Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprisewide systems. Participates in maximizing the procurement teams’ changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., materials, components, equipment and services). Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing. Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues. Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability. Requires domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities. : The Buyer is mainly responsible for processing purchase requests into orders for global procurement function, where focus would be primarily on processing Purchase Requisition for FAB, Purchase Order for FAB, Corp functions & other related activities. The Buyer is required to seek and obtain cost reductions via vendor negotiations, alternate or low-cost vendor identification etc. SAP and Maxim internal procurement systems are the primary tools used to perform the job. Good excel, word, power point, contract and project management skills are necessary to be successful in the job This position requires flexibility in working hours to allow for communication and team participation with Global Maxim Procurement Team. Buyer acts as point of contact for Procurement related assistance for our offices across Maxim. Buyer is also expected to work with Maxim FAB & Corp functions to assist them in various projects & cost reduction activities. We are looking for self-motivated candidate with good communication & analytical skills. Qualification – Diploma / Graduate / Post Graduate (any stream) with good knowledge of MS Excel & analytical skills with minimum 60% marks Job Responsibilities-

• Maintaining optimum inventory levels for different workgroups i.e. consumables, critical spares, office supplies etc., used in our manufacturing facility at Beaverton, Oregon (USA)
• Buyer needs to procure various commodities on a global basis using various IT enabled platforms including SAP.
• Creating purchase request (PR) by Sending RFQ’s, analysing vendor quotes, techno-commercial discussion with vendors, technical confirmation from stakeholder, forming sourcing & negotiation strategy in coordination with stakeholders
• Processing Purchase requisitions into purchase orders(POs), Vendor follow-up for timely delivery of material, vendor development & management, Post PO support, Resolving vendor payment issues etc
• Working on various inventory management, procurement & other projects
• Agreement & Contract creation, NDAs, New vendor onboardings, etc.
