MaxLinear Hiring for Senior Technical Writer at Bangalore, India Full Time

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our growing team and support both local and global engineering teams. In this role, you will focus on the following:

• Work closely with content strategists, engineering project teams, support teams, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality documentation

• Edit documents to ensure grammatical correctness, appropriate tone, and consistency in style and format following the company’s rules and standards

• Effectively manage documentation projects and deliver customer-focused documentation

• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to address content gaps, respond to direct feedback, and promote continuous improvement of the documentation experience

• Master the use of our internal documentation toolchain, including the publishing platform and issue-tracking tools

• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation

• Experience writing complex technical documents, such as product data sheets, application notes, user guides, feature descriptions, customer use cases, and release notes using industry best practices

• Experience writing clear and concise procedural, conceptual, and reference documentation for technical audiences

• Experience writing technical documentation for power, analog, or mixed-signal semiconductor products is a plus

• Experience collaborating with globally distributed stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds

• Experience with creating vector and raster graphics and diagrams using industry tools such as Visio

• Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker (unstructured) and MS Office; experience with XML Authoring and documentation experience, Structured FrameMaker, and FrameMaker FDK is a plus

• Familiarity with task tracking systems; experience with Jira is a plus

• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Snagit, and Camtasia is a plus

• Advanced level knowledge of SharePoint for basic content management

• Familiarity with documentation control systems such as SmartBear or experience with Mercurial, SVN, or Git is a plus

• Experience and comfort with agile development methodologies and fast delivery are a plus

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Highly motivated, self-managed, committed, and personally driven to produce quality work

• Excellent content planning and organization skills

• Bachelor’s in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or Engineering + 5 years of experience
