The role of a Tableau & Alteryx Administrator is responsible for supporting McGraw Hill’s business intelligence and data services capabilities to provide actionable, timely information to drive accurate financial reporting, performance monitoring and facilitate business decisions.

Your contribution to the team will include:

• Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.
• Upgrade server software.
• Manage server back-up procedures, including DR recovery.
• Enforce existing policies for Tableau/Alteryx production.
• Set up documentation for policies & procedures.
• Trouble shooting and resolving system issues.
• Assist users with Tableau workbook and Alteryx workflow issues.

Non-Admin Responsibilities:

• Gather business requirements, conduct analysis, design and develop analytics solutions using both Tableau Desktop and Alteryx Designer.
• Communicate and work proactively with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team to complete required dashboards.
• Provide end user support for the resolution of issues escalated by McGraw Hill Tableau users.

What can you bring to this role?

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree required in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of related Business Intelligence development experience.
• 3+ years of Tableau experience with a minimum of one year of Tableau & Alteryx administration.
• Admin Administration experience: MS-DOS coding, SQL coding, Windows Server, basic IT functions

Tableau Desktop Report Development, Troubleshooting, previous data modeling experience, or experience with Big Data analytics, Python and R would be a plus.

• Strong analytical ability and understanding of statistical analysis, regression, time series.
• Ability to organize complex concepts in written or presentation formats.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
