Who You’ll Work With
As part of the finance team at the Delhi, India office, you will work directly with the director of finance on all aspects of client contracting and client finance.
What You’ll Do
You will divide your time between two workstreams – client contracting and client finance.
As part of your client contracting responsibilities, you will support client study teams (CSTs) in structuring commercial construct, and also managing the contracting process and handling escalations. You will be responsible for drafting of finance clauses in the contracts.
You will coach consulting teams on standard commercial terms and advise on best tactics for a variety of situations; you will also use best practices for “at risk” engagements. You would lead negotiations with the client on key financial clauses, while also working with the legal team and client service teams.
You would be responsible for improving the standard contracting templates for different archetypes of engagements and for working on non-standard arrangements like equity programs etc.
You would be expected to disseminate best practices around negotiating strategies, methodology and templates, and coach client service teams on resolving contentious issues, adhering to policy matters, etc.
As part of your responsibilities on client finance, you will front-end WIP (work in progress) and AR (accounts receivable) related problem-solving with client service teams.
You will be responsible for managing and mentoring the team members and helping them handle escalations from the CSTs on important topics like time adjustments, investment recoupments etc.
You would also be managing month end close activities, ensuring compliance of the firm’s policies, timely review, and approval of codes, and working with the client service teams and the investment committee on performance management of key “at risk” engagements
Qualifications
- CA or MBA with 4+ years of experience; experience in contracting is an added advantage
- Ability to critically analyze arrangements from a commercial perspective
