Summary:

We are seeking a versatile and passionate lab technician to manage the operations of the hardware labs and provide bring-up support for new efforts in Bangalore, India. You must be able to work independently, demonstrate a high attention to detail, be customer-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills. You must be a self-starter, well-organized and have excellent communication skills. Our team is constantly evolving and we are seeking someone who is motivated to improve the effectiveness of our tools and processes to support the delivery of world-class, in-house developed silicon.

Required Skills:

Lab Technician Responsibilities:

1. Help deliver the next generation of custom developed silicon.

2. Primary support for rework activities for silicon bring-up.

3. Own end-to-end daily operations tasks to keep the labs running efficiently.

4. Manage the use of hardware lab spaces, operating spaces, and test unit deconfliction and scheduling of services and resources.

5. Manage inventory levels and maintain lab consumable supply.

6. Manage all logistics activities for the lab, including accurate tracking and storage.

7. Operate and manage lab test equipment.

8. Manage calibration and maintenance activities for all instruments and equipment on a regular interval.

9. Install/swap hardware components on rack systems.

10. Monitor test runs and recover “unresponsive” clients.

11. Maintain the lab spaces in a clean, organized, and uncluttered way.

12. Work with the environmental health and safety team to ensure we are in compliance with all regulations, to improve safety, and to reduce risk wherever possible.

13. Assist in development of documentation, test procedures, and schematic and PCB part libraries.

14. Work with CorpNet and network administrators to set up and debug network issues, imaging servers, and software upgrades.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Experience with setting up test beds for SI testing (High BW Scopes and BERT Scopes)

2. Experience with PCIe electrical testing for Gen3.0, Gen4.0 and Gen5.0

3. Experience and understanding of using PCIe test fixtures

4. AS degree in Engineering or equivalent

5. Skilled in PCB soldering and rework, including BGA

6. Proficient with laboratory test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and voltmeters

7. Proficient in understanding rework instructions provided by engineers

8. Proficient in reading electronic schematics and Printed Circuit board drawings and Bill of Materials

9. Experience managing a hardware lab, with specific experience in silicon development
