Job Description

Developing organisational level purchasing strategy for electronics component category.

Leading and responsible for the RPP activities of PCBA, E-Components and other Electronics in the respective Product Group (creation, implementation, cooperation cross-functionally)

Early Supplier involvement to support Product Innovation and Target Cost Achievement for PCBA and other electronics including Sourcing plan, large BOM analysis, target costing, RFQ, Sourcing decision, sampling, prepare mass production and part release.

Support Annual Price Negotiation by providing new potential business opportunities of Product Group in pipeline.

Create transparency of costs of Product Group by benchmarking (support the Global Product Champion) for PCBA and other Electronics.

Responsible for achievement of Best Costs in Product Group (Benchmarking, TCO, RPP) before/after SOP for PCBA and other Electronics

Responsible for Product Group related quality activities (e.g. ISIR, 8D, PQA, etc.)

Responsible for escalation level for Quality and Logistics related supplier issues from Plant for PCBA, e-Components and other Electronics, support design change and spot buy activities including identifying source, alternative and spot buy implementation.

Conduct market survey to strengthen E-Comp supplier base to predict and follow market trend for better availability and delivery.

Support selection of new suppliers and new components/commodities.

Manage purchasing of related tasks in the Value Stream for PCBA, E-Comp and other Electronics

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, other science/technical field or equivalent with 10+ years’ experience in purchasing and/or electronics components field.

Expert in Electronics and/or familiar with key electronics industry, market and the E-comp makers and distribution network.

Knowledge and understanding the industry and processes of key electronics components and/or related products.

Experience in electronic component, PCBA, key E-components and its process, applications, industry and distribution network (e.g. mosfets, microcontrollers, diodes, sensors, transistors, etc).

Project management, experience in ERP system, e.g. SAP, will be added advantage.

Possesses analytical and entrepreneur mindset and with creative ideas, resourceful, openness and trustworthy person.

Ability to assess risks (quality, cost and delivery), solve complex issues, take sound decisions and drive issues closure independently.

Understand and apply relevant negotiation skills, project management.

Ability to make contacts and intercultural skills.

Self-motivated, result-oriented, proactive and a team player with strong interpersonal, communications and leadership skills.

Ability to manager personnel time to ensure completion of assignments.
