About Our Client

Our client is a 5 billion retail business handling multinational brands in India. With the business expanding online, they are keen to hire a CTDO (Chief Technology & Data Officer) to build a scalable platform to drive this growth further.

• Lead engineering team to develop technologies that support the core consumer platforms – Retail, App, mobile and web based
• Manage Digital products & channels (Apps, Loyalty Program, CRM, Delivery, E-payments), Core technology structure (Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, IT Systems, QA), Digital products & channels focused on “internal customers” (Service Desk, Operational Technology)
• Digital transformation and new digital capabilities (Data, Agile, Design)
• Own the project execution for complex, high-revenue, Omni-Channel initiatives with multiple teams working on it
• Ability to take decisions by evaluating trade-offs across multiple options between maintaining fast development cycles and maintaining high quality/scale

The Successful Applicant

• 12-15 years of overall Tech, Data and Product work experience primarily working on retail & e-commerce platform.
• Should have been driven and overseen multiple software development life-cycles for complex/advanced technology components
• You have proven excellence in similar roles, and have built and scaled complex, technology products, data repository out in the real world.
• You have built large scale, stable web and mobile applications using latest frameworks (Ruby, nodeJS, AngularJS etc.)
• Self-Starter who can set their own product visions, build relevant teams and execute the game plan in a fast paced company and industry
• Frugal mindset in extracting highest value from every investment. Personality and culture fit. High level of ownership, ethics, openness in communication.
• Experience with high throughput, scalable systems, large-scale data processing, and ETL pipelines
