Do you have a passion for Cloud Operations ? Do you enjoy solving complex problems? We are looking for an experienced information systems and technology professional to join the team providing subject matter expertise in Cloud Operations. The Cloud Engineer will tackle interesting Engineering challenges impacting hybrid cloud systems around the globe in collaboration with a dedicated group of subject matter experts embedded within the Microsoft Silicon Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Improve the security posture of silicon cloud environment.

• Advocate for security improvements across all silicon cloud infrastructure areas like Compute, Storage, Cloud and Network.

• Evaluate for security related concerns and mitigation them pro-activly

• Build and manage security infrastructure and applications needed for silicon cloud environment.

• Respond to infrastructure security alerts and perform investigations and help other teams across Microsoft

• Stay up to date with changing security threats landscape, with specific focus on Engineering Development infrastructure.

Work across organizational boundaries to coordinate with other subject matter experts and achieve shared objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and managing Engineer Compute / Linux security and hardening, including authentication solutions like NIS, LDAP, AD (required)

• Experience with one or more scripting / programming languages (Powershell, ARM Templates, Terraform, Ansible, Python etc). (required)

• Indepth understating of Linux security in on-prem, cloud and hybrid environment, preferably on Azure (required)

• BA/BS or MS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, related field or equivalent experience. (required)

• Experience securing EDA / HPC / Engineering Compute workloads on cloud (preferred)

• Certification in one or more of the following areas: CISSP, Azure Cybersecurity Architect Expert , Azure Security Engineer Associate (preferred)

• Certification in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft Azure Administrator, Microsoft Azure Solution Architect (preferred)

• Experience with Industry Compliance, Security, and Regulatory Standards: ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST 800-171 Rev.2, NIST 800-53 Rev.4. (preferred)

• Experience with Managing Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service or other container orchestration solutions (preferred)

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills. (preferred)
