As a part of our latest transformation, we are searching for a Software Development Manager to join our rapidly growing Bangalore Center of Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring we develop high quality software components by applying cutting edge software engineering practices. In this position, you will provide critical oversight and governance, growing the capability of our teams to build secure, market-leading Enterprise software solutions. This role will work closely as a Technical Project Manager to remove barriers to delivery and help drive towards a culture of self-managing teams.
Role & Responsibilities:

• Attract, develop, and retain capable individuals
• Perform career counseling and personal development
• Evaluate team and individual performance, providing input, guidance, and corrective actions where necessary
• Build partnerships with suppliers, consultants, partners and internal and external stakeholders
• Create an environment of continuous improvement, ownership and transparency
• Support infrastructure, culture, organization, and strategy for implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices
• You will lead projects from inception to close, with superb planning and communication skills to establish timelines, prioritize work, and manage partner expectations.
• You will guide delivery team to execute on defined requirements, remove blocking issues from day-to-day operations of the team, and identify and communicate risks
• Drive performance improvements through best practice enablement, coaching, mentoring and quality oversight.
• Conduct regular reviews with senior stakeholders, focusing on team and individual performance against agreed criteria
• Provide performance feedback and complete performance evaluations for Team-members.

Qualifications Summary: Relevant Technical Skills:

• Demonstrable experience in senior positions across enterprise software projects
• C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, WPF, Javascript, JQuery, NUnit, Moq
• Experience with web services / API development
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP. TDD)
• Microsoft SQL Server

Soft Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 8+ years of experience in Software Development and 1+ years in a management role
• Experience of working with product owners and scrum masters in an agile development environment
• A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
• Self-reliant and motivated self-starter
• Ability to be “hands-on” and mentor associate level developers
• Proven experience in setting and measuring targets for team members.
