Job Overview:
Strategy & Analytics team at Moder is dedicated to helping organizations in the BFSI industry build next-generation Data & Analytics Products that utilize AI at their core. Our aim is to solve the industry’s most significant challenges and enable organizations to unlock the full potential of their data, empowering them to make informed and impactful decisions.

As a Data Analyst at Moder, you will play a crucial role in extracting insights from complex datasets, providing actionable recommendations, and supporting the company’s growth through informed strategies. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, a strong foundation in data analysis and reconciliation, and proficiency in tools such as Power Pivot tables, SQL, and Power Query.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interacts with the client regularly to understand business requirements, define problems, structure, and communicate solutions.
• Analyze business processes, foresee requirements, explore the areas for improvement and develop and implement solutions.
• Be proficient in evaluating new technologies and identifying the practical business application to enhance business value and operating efficiency.
• Perform statistical analysis on data from various reports and dashboards to provide process capability baselines for the various business metrics and other business insights.
• Documenting and communicating results that enable partner teams to make impactful decisions.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate, analyse, and visualize data effectively.
• Perform data analysis and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain Power Pivot tables and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Apply your understanding of SQL to extract and transform data from various databases.
• Utilize Power Query to streamline data extraction and transformation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical insights.
• Drive the identification of trends, patterns, and opportunities from datasets.
• Provide clear and actionable recommendations based on data analysis findings.
• Adapt to a changing environment by quickly learning new tools and technologies.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance,
• Business Administration, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and features.
• Strong analytical mindset with a solid understanding of data analysis techniques.
• Experience with Power Pivot tables and creating insightful reports.
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Knowledge of Power Query for efficient data transformation.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings in a clear manner.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to adapt and learn quickly in a changing work environment.
• 3+ years of business analytics or similar practical experience in the financial services industry – preferably mortgage.
• Open to work in flexible/rotational shifts.
