Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.
Job Profile
The position is for Morgan Stanley Advisory Technology team that develops and supports the advisory portfolio supervision platform for Client, Financial Advisors, Portfolio Directors and Trading Desks activities.
The Financial Advisors and Client Service Associates to verify the mis-alignments present in Accounts use advisory Portfolio Supervision platform. The Platform is integrated with state of the art Blackrock Aladdin platform, the industry-leading platform, and the institutional caliber for Risk Analytics. The Supervision platform components are integrated in different workflows across Advisory Platform to help Financial Advisors take decisions by reviewing various Accounts/Portfolios against Risk and Concentration checks. We are seeking a developer with distributed technology skill set within Advisory area of Investment Products & Solutions Technology (IPSIT) organization to be working with team to develop, maintain and enhance the Supervision Platform components and applications.
Role Description
We are looking to hire a talented software engineer having 7 years of experience to join the Advisory team in the Morgan Stanley. The Advisory team is responsible for maintaining and building systems for Advisory business.
We are working on a enhancing the existing Advisory platforms to build the next generation of systems using latest technologies and techniques and hence are looking for a software engineer to help drive the development. The role is primarily to create and maintain several UI/distributed platform/applications built using Angular, C# and REST APIs, Kafka/MQ, Cloud Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.Responsibilities
Skill Set
**Excellent knowledge and experience in front end technologies like Angular, HTML5/CSS3, AJAX,
JavaScript, LESS/SASS
* Experience in developing client-server, distributed, real-time applications using C#, WebAPI, RestApi, .NET, .NET Core
* Strong object-oriented design and development skills
* Needs to be comfortable working in the Unix/Linux environment.
* Good knowledge of Concurrency and high volume server side development
* Strong Data Analysis skills and attention to detail
* Experience in developing/managing the Dev-ops capabilities for the software platform in current or previous organizations.
* Involvement in full Software Development Life Cycle of the project and
experience of working in Agile teams, Agile Methodology like Scrum
* Experience working with Source Code Management solutions like Git, Stash, Bitbucket and Continuous build integration tools like Team City, Jenkins build pipeline
Good to have Skills
* Experience in working on Cloud native architecture or working with Cloud vendors such as Azure, AWS
* Experience in working Apache KAFKA/MQ, Zookeeper will be an added advantage.
* Experience in testing software methodologies such as Unit testing, Integration Testing, performance testing
* Experience in Banking , investment banking or wealth management domain
Qualifications/Criterion
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7 to 10 yrs experience in C#.Net Development. BSFI domain preferred.
