Operations Technology is looking for a Data Engineer for their India office. IMRS Platform is a key component of Metrics & Analytics Practice Area within Operations Technology. This practice supports Global Operations Control Group by defining, acquiring, publishing, and analyzing an integrated set of key risk and performance metrics. These metrics enable managers to make informed decisions, while executing the Firm’s objectives across the domains of Risk, Financial and Manpower.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design, coding, testing, tuning and maintenance of DB2 data marts, sound Python and Informatica code
• Work directly with Modelers/Architects/DBA on data modeling, logical/physical schema design, SQL query tuning; and the application of data-related business rules while assisting in troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution
• Communicate effectively with end users, peers, and management regarding assignments, and must have a can-do attitude and a desire to provide solutions
• Delivering projects with a high-level of data quality and integrity
• Meet deadlines and possess a proven record of successful project execution and delivery.
• Demonstrate knowledge of SDLC processes and procedures adjusted for a Rapid Application Development methodology (agile)

• Provide support for the resolution of all reporting issues escalated by the Support Operations Team post-implementation.
• Working with global development team to have designs implemented, tested, and productionized

• Collaborate with the team to define the information architecture, advocating interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability

The Successful Candidate Should Have

• 10 Years of strong development experience with Python, Spark with sound DB knowledge
• Experience in Python for automating data cleansing, data re-formatting, data transformation.
• Good to have knowledge of one popular Python framework (Flask, Django etc.)
• Experience working with libraries like Numpy, Pandas etc.
• Sound understanding of Data Architecture Principles, Data Governance, Data Strategy, Data Standards, Data Quality, Data Modelling and Data Definitions.
• Strong Data Modeling skills – Enterprise Data Model (OLTP) and Dimensional modeling. Well versed with principles, techniques and best practices of data modeling.
• Strong Skills in Relational Database (preferably DB2) including database design, performance tuning, writing complex DB programs etc.
• Experience working with Cloud databases such as Snowflake
• Demonstrateproficient skills in analysis and resolution of application performance problems.

Secondary Skills / Desired skills

• Knowledge about Devops implementation in Data space
• Understanding of Document oriented / NoSQL / Cloud datastore.
• Cloud Certifications/Experience and Big data programming especially Spark is good to have
• Financial Services experience will be a strong plus
