Joining the Operations Technology division, you will be at the vanguard of the multi-year global renovation programs to transform the way the firm processes the financial obligations. It will require a blend of software development and technical leadership, and you will be involved in the decision-making process around projects and programmes. You’ll be interacting with our business stakeholders within both Operations and other areas of the firm; including other engineering groups. What you’ll Do

• Learn and apply standards and design patterns with industry-standard methodologies and new technology to enhance productivity, quality, and system performance.
• Participate in program and system architecture discussions to identify a suitable quality solution to the business requirement.
• Actively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks, and resolve issues that sometimes cross departmental boundaries.
• Support and guide projects under purview across the development life cycle (including non-functional requirement gathering, technical architecture and design, development, quality control and deployment), with respect to your own specialized technology area.
• Bring in Thought Leadership in the team to encourage forward thinking and offer unique guidance and inspire innovation.

Skills Required:

• Min. 5-9 years of Strong Experience in Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Design, and hands on Technical skills (Java, DB) with the ability to guide developers for the optimal solution around technical challenges.
• Should have experience on J2EE, Spring (ORM, Security, MVC, AOP and Integration Framework) and JPA / Hibernate
• Should know any JMS implementations (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ etc.)
• Experience on Web services protocols like REST, SOAP and experience in developing using HTTP
• Should have knowledge of Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CD/CI) using Git/CVS/SVN and Jenkins.
• Experience with REST based web services; JSON, XML
• High-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in a collaborative (Agile) environment
• In-depth knowledge and Design experience on Data Parallelism Frameworks, proven expertise on Java Concurrent Framework & Multi-Threading
• Excellent troubleshooting follows up & cross-team collaboration skills.
• Demonstrates ownership and believes in “Getting things done”.
• Excellent leadership, influential and writing skills.
• Offers high-value contributions to the product, team, and the company proactively.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge on Linux Container like Docker, LXC etc and/or an Orchestration platform like Kubernetes, docker swarm and compose etc.
• Scripting languages knowledge for example Perl and Python
• Good to have experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform etc.)
• Capital Markets domain experience
