Title: MDP Associate

Teams: Equity Data, Managed Investment Data (MID), PitchBook and Sustainalytics.

CTC Range: ₹ 3,99,000 – 5,10,000 LPA, including shift allowance.

Shift: Flexible to work in shifts

Shift Timings: Early Morning Shift (AU): 5:30 am to 2:30 pm (Pick up provided) / General: 10am to 7pm / Afternoon Shift (UK): 3pm to 12am (Drop provided) / Night Shift (US): 8pm to 5am (Drop provided)

Job Description:

Eligibility:

• Graduation and above in any discipline
• Candidates awaiting results for their last semester can also apply
• Freshers and candidates with up to 3 years of experience can apply

Selection Process:

• Eligible candidates will go through an online General Aptitude test.
• Interview rounds will be conducted post clearing the test.
• At every stage of eligibility, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the recruitment team.
• A permanent offer letter will be provided to you from Morningstar after clearing all the rounds and would be required to go through a training program on Financial Literacy.
• An assessment based on the training program will be conducted for further screening.
• Your employment will be confirmed only after successful completion of the final assessment
• Once you successfully clear the final assessment, you will be aligned to one of the four teams: Equity Data, Managed Investment Data (MID), PitchBook or Sustainalytics. Descriptions for teams can be found below.

The Groups:

Morningstar specializes in researching global companies offering an extensive line of products and services for individual investors, financial advisors, asset managers, retirement plan providers and sponsors, and institutional investors in capital markets. Morningstar’s Data Operations is comprised of four major business units:

Equity: The Equity team collects financial and non-financial data from annual and quarterly reports, press releases, financial statements, and footnotes for global market companies as per the predefined collection policies.

Managed Investment Data (MID): MID collects and maintains fund performance data and streams in global markets, fund analysis on the portfolio and bond level is the key responsibility wherein we cover key data points including fund NAV, distribution, TNA, return, yield & cash flow.

PitchBook: The PitchBook team performs web-based research and utilizes technology tools to capture hard-to-find data on private capital markets, including private equity (PE), venture capital (VC) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Sustainalytics: Sustainalytics provides high-quality, analytical research, ratings, and data on environmental, social and governance (ESG) parameters to investors and companies that helps them make more informed decisions that lead to a more just and sustainable global economy.

Role:

MDP Associate will accurately and efficiently collect operational data from various vendor sources and enter those into a web-based tool. You will adhere to the company goals, policies, and procedures and work in a focused manner to achieve the overall objectives. You will be responsible for improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and delivery of the operational performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). You will effectively manage your performance and development to support our continuous operational success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely and in-depth screening, research, and review of company data and disclosures
• Learn the research methodology and processes quickly and apply that knowledge consistently
• Deliver on individual and team targets including production and quality as well as improve the overall performance quarter on quarter
• Establish and achieve the set SMART goals with the direction of the team lead
• Provide input and ideas for new data collection methods, product/ process improvements, and quality initiatives
• Own and drive continuous improvement within the process through Quality initiatives

Requirements:

• Strong English communication, reading, writing, and content interpretation skills
• Basic Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of SQL, VBA Macros, or Python is a plus
• Client-oriented, innovative, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Analytical and critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
