Responsible for the technical supervision of the workshop staff, tools & equipment’s.

Responsible for rapid and appropriate maintenance and repair of customers’ cars with consideration for the guidelines issued by the manufacturer

Job Responsibility

? Receives vehicle from SA & analyse for complains/demanded repairs.

? Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, inspect and participate in the work of staff and outside contractors responsible for making vehicular body repairs to assigned vehicles.

? Maintain record related to repair vehicle as per J.O details.

? Responsible for ensuring that repair jobs are carried out completely and correctly by mechanics/technicians in accordance with OEM’s guidelines and regulations.

? To ensure all concerns /demands (request) mentioned on the repair order have been addressed.

? To maintain technicians/mechanics skill matrix and allocates jobs as per skill level, productivity requirements prescribed by OEM.

? Perform detailed inspections of assigned vehicles to determine extent of body damage; recommend appropriate repair and replacement activities.

? Determine method of repair and order activities.

? To keep track of job progress & ensure timely delivery of customers vehicle.

? Ensures flawless work quality by means of suitable workshop equipment, test instruments and methods.

? Responsible for operational and traffic safety of customers’ cars within the framework of the repair work to be performed.

? To ensure DPVR (daily pending vehicle report) status is updated and shared with Manager-Body paint & SA.

? To keep track of PNA & WIP vehicles and updating the same with Manager-Body paint & SA.

? To ensure zero repeat repair & rework.

? Gives technical support to mechanics/technician in preparing diagnostics and performing difficult repairs.

? Conducts regular meetings to discuss target agreements/feedback and achievement of objectives.

? To schedule road test, repair activity, final inspection & washing as per the delivery time committed to customer by Service advisor.

? To achieve the set business targets in terms of parts selling & labour billing.

? To carry out the insurance inspection during the work and after completion of work.

? Responsible for workshop capacity utilization.

? performs regular internal quality measures.

? Observes in compliance with applicable repair conditions.

? Monitors and organizes cleanliness and tidiness in the service area.

? Checks that hazardous substances, waste and disposable materials are handled and stored correctly in accordance with waste disposal regulations.

? To identify the technicians training need requirement & share it with IDT & SM.

? Ensures and monitors compliance with regards to health and safety regulations.

? Daily MIS reports.

? Updating details in DMS.

Mandatory: relevant experience in a reputed automobile workshop

Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in a reputed automobile workshop, of which at least 5 years should be in a similar role.

Job Location: Andheri East (JB Nagar), Mumbai

Special Work demands:
Late working hours.

Manage workshop congestion especially during rainy season.

Working Days: 6 days (9.30am to 6pm)

Qualification: SSC-HSC with Degree/Diploma in automobile engineering

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days
