Position: Sr. Manager- Supply Chain Management

Education Requirement: B.E. (Mechanical Engg.), M.B.A. Materials Management, P.G. Diploma/ Degree in Material Management/ EXIM & Logistics Management (Preferred)

Preferred Experience: 12-15 years of similar & relevant experience in Procurement & Logistics management in Automobile components machining Vendors, electrical equipment, T&D, Switchgear/ Transformer manufacturing industry. Experience in Transformer Bushing material procurement will be an added advantage.

Job Description:
Area

Expectations out of this role

Purchase

• Develop and Execute various Purchasing strategies for Quality improvement, Cost optimization, alternate vendor development
• Monitoring and managing demand vs supply statistics, based on forecasting of upcoming demands
• Monitor and control inventory based on JIT concept
• Constant touch with Suppliers for Material delivery based on Production planning
• Preparing of List of Advance payment, Import duties. Work closely with Accounts dept. to Process payment, import duties and Invoices.
• Supplier evaluation for Quality and Delivery performance and take appropriate action
• Train and supervise the fellow team members
• Able to take high level and challenging responsibilities
• Should be able to do clear and well communication
• Strong people management skills
• Work closely with Quality & Planning for smooth operations
• Standardising procurement process with negotiations & rate contracts with vendors for commodity items procurement, machining/JW processes

Supply Chain

Management

• Seek, partner and liaising with Vendors
• Invite and evaluate techno-commercial offers for various Engineering materials
• Thorough knowledge of various Engineering process (by example Machining, Surface treatment, Castings, insulating material, Fabrication) to negotiate prices based on facts and figures
• Negotiate and agree annual contracts for office amenities
• Strong project management skills
• Vendor management related to Engineering material, Logistics services, IT department services.

Inventory Management

• Inventory management, tracking inventory pattern with analysis and corrective actions implementation

Logistics

• Experience in managing Import & export consignments
• Conversant with all relevant commercial laws around EXIM, taxation, GST, Eway bill, Challans, Customs etc
• Liaison, Negotiation and finalization of contracts with Sea/Air/Road forwarders for EXIM and inland transports.
