Job Title: Data Quality Engineer

Department: Data Governance & Data Quality

Job Location : Dubai (one position), Bangalore (one position)

Work from Office – 5 days a week

Reports to: Lead Data Quality

Job Purpose: The Data Quality Engineer is a key player in designing, developing, and implementing our Data Governance program, with a specific focus on data quality. This role is accountable for ensuring alignment with business objectives in data management across the organization and plays a vital role in the broader data management community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the organizational Data Strategy in alignment with business objectives and company values.
• Develop and oversee the data governance framework, standards, practices, policies, and processes.
• Enhance the Data Governance Office as a center of excellence, promoting a data-driven decision-making culture.
• Monitor and analyze strategic, technological, and regulatory trends in data management.
• Advocate for good data quality practices and treat data as a strategic asset.
• Produce performance and quality standards information for data within the organization.
• Manage and report on data SLAs and KPIs, ensuring adherence to targets and demonstrating improvements.
• Advise on data entry and data collection standards and monitor them with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain data quality measurement, reporting, and control capabilities.
• Develop and maintain data quality rules and profiling tools/methodologies.
• Support the maintenance of data definitions, standards, lineage, and other data quality artifacts.
• Provide expertise in systems/process developments to enhance data quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree educated with a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in data-related programs, ideally in financial services.
• At least 5 years of overall industry experience.
• Experience in developing Data Governance frameworks and operational knowledge of data quality management processes.
• Proficiency in common Data Quality and dashboard tooling, such as Informatica EDQ and Oracle EDQ.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
