Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
Mobile Networks, which includes mobile network products, network deployment and technical support services, and related network management. This business group will offer the full portfolio for customers wanting to buy mobile access networks. It targets leadership in key technologies such as 5G, LTE ORAN & VRAN

What you will learn and contribute to
NW Design & Optimization (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimization and / or managing of the optimization of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities for deployment projects. The Planning & Optimization Specialist performs solution monitoring, data collection, generation of daily / weekly reports. Performs optimization in terms of capacity, architecture, performance, analyses counters, and metrics on current capacity and usage. Forecasts traffic patterns to evaluate impact on current and future architecture. Recommends parameters tuning and design evolutions

As part of our team, you will:

• LTE/5G KPI monitoring at site, project / regional level and periodical study in order to improve customer’s network performance.
• Analyzing the LTE and 5G KPI / counters and performance statistics to identify issues, solve complex problems.
• Knowledge and practice of Nokia RAN, eNB/gNB parameters and counters
• LTE/5G Feature Implementation & KPI Analysis with latest Rel 20,21
• LTE/5G Software upgrade impact Analysis with latest Rel 20,21
• Covering tasks such as performance audits, quality and capacity optimization, parameter planning, network feature testing and introduction in the network, network statistics analysis, troubleshooting and performance / capacity management.
• Independently developing RF optimization plans / solutions, features and field tests (e.g. drive tests, indoor measurements, etc…).
• Prioritizing RF optimization activities to address most critical ones based on customer, end user and Nokia business impact

Your skills and experience
You have:

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (Electrical / Telecommunication) or corresponding experience
• Experience in the Telecom Industry with minimum 8 years of experience in RF Planning & Optimization
• Ability to deliver all activities for the maintenance and improvement of network KPI’s
• In depth trouble-shooting capability for analysis of network statistics, KPIs and drive test logs
• Good communication skills, especially ability to interface with customer

Tool Knowledge Required:

• OSS Tool: NetAct, CM Operation Manager, CM Editor, Reporting Suite
• Analysis Tool: LTEPAT, RADAR, Emil, Wireshark
• Geo Tool: MUSA, QGIS
• TEMS, NEMO, XCAL/XCAP or equivalent
• MDT Tool: Geosynthesis or equivalent
