Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

What you will learn and contribute to Are you passionate about creating solutions, solving problems and developing skills in the latest, cutting edge mobile communications networks?
As part of our team, you will:

• Define Mobile Packet Core solutions that meet the needs and requirements of Nokia’s Communication Service providers and Enterprise customers.
• Be a trusted advisor and guide Nokia’s customers on the best possible solutions to meet their technology objectives.
• Develop project documentation and artifacts for implementation, expansion, and modification of 5G mobile communication services. This includes Network Slicing, Cloud Infrastructure requirements, and Container Based Network Functions for operators worldwide.
• Deploy, integrate, and test the next generation of Mobile Packet Core solutions in customer labs and production networks, in a variety of environments such as VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS and OpenShift.
• Utilize the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment CI/CD pipeline to deploy the Nokia Mobile Packet Core Solutions and take part in automation microservices development.
• Utilize your deep technical understanding of 3GPP standards in technical discussions and collaborations with customers, project managers and other engineering teams.
• Travel globally when restrictions due to COVID pandemic allow.

Your skills and experience You have:

• Minimum 5 years experience in planning, designing or operating a Mobile Packet Core.
• Strong knowledge of end to end solutions for 5G and vEPC, 3GPP standards for 5G and Packet Core, and 5G Service based architecture experience.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers and cloud solutions.
• Fundamentals of TCP/IP including routing and switching

• MSc or BSc degree in Telecommunications or a similar subject

It would be nice if you also had:

• Onboarding & Deployment experience with VNF/CNF and the understanding of artifacts TOSCA, CSAR, and Helm Charts
• Experience with Python programming language or Bash and in test automation
• Knowledge of GIT version control system
• Any distribution of Linux administration skills, command line, and such
• One of CCNP/JNCIS/NRS II certifications (or higher)
• Fluent written and spoken English
