Infrastructure team
In this role, you will be part of the Infrastructure team, which ensures the stability, availability and high performance of the IT infrastructure that serves Nokias entire workforce and upholds the technology for almost every single interaction of the companys business. At IT Infrastructure, we set up, maintain and optimize Nokias enterprise computing and networking capabilities; we administer and continuously advance our Digital Workplace; and we grant IT support to a global community of end-users. IT Network Engineering manages globally the life cycle, delivery, quality and performance of the networking infrastructure of Nokia. Public and Private Cloud, Datacenters, Security, IP services and all other aspects of connectivity for Nokia offices and partners.
Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for Public Cloud network solutions, including technical design, configuration, functionality, processes, standardization and performance. This is a global position to support Nokia ongoing Digitalization and Cloud transformation. The Cloud Network Engineer will work with major Public Cloud Providers like GCP, AWS and Azure

Job Responsibilities & Competencies
Provide Public Cloud network design support for public cloud, manage architecture repository for standard design
Understands Cloud and on prem network designs, including network segmentation and security solutions
Support Cloud Architects on design definition, reviews and approvals including security and compliance controls, policies and standards.
Support migration and implementation strategies.
Deploy / build Cloud networks whenever required
Perform implementation tests and acceptance.
Handle escalated (critical) incidents, provide technical workarounds.
Analyze critical incidents and Identify design related gaps that caused the incident to define preventive actions
Document cloud network security design for various projects and deployment scenarios
Assess the network security gaps and recommend solution, keep up knowledge on cloud network security
Support special projects related to Public Cloud.
Perform scripting and coding for Public cloud environments

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years experience in network or Networks security support role, 3 year experience in handling public cloud network
Experience in handling large enterprise network security environment
Experience in setting up GCP, Azure or AWS cloud network would be added advantage
Experience in cloud security architecture design and deployment including cloud security solution is required
Experience in configurating cloud firewall, cloud router, interconnects and wan connectivity
Strong knowledge in PaaS service and working experience
Strong knowledge of Cloud scripting and IaaC.
Hands on experience in handling Fortigate Firewall or any leading Firewall
Ability to design DNS solution for on-prem and public cloud
Understand application architecture requirement to design network security solution
Experience in handling public cloud application migration with respect to network security
Strong knowledge in handling container solution and security
Ability to recommend latest improvement of cloud network component
Ability to provide end-to-end network security solution integrates with compute,storage, application.etc
Ability to create automation solution for network engineering team
Support critical network issues at all levels within the network
Investigate and perform impact assessments for high severity threat events
Deploy, execute and standardize micro segmentation policies across all critical applications
Desired certification: Google cloud architect certification
Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestration
Strong experience with VMWare, UNIX Scripting skills would be a plus
Optional knowledge in the areas of operating systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu would be a plus
Knowledge and experience across IT infrastructure with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and other relevant security-related regulations
Strong ability to diagnose network alerts, events or issues
Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to address conflict with others constructively
Good understanding on network technologies VRRP, DNS, ARP, Trunks, & Port Channeling, VRF, IPsec,TLS
Proficient in Standard Routing Protocols such as OSPF, BGP, Route Policy, QoS, VRRP, and MPLS.
Experience in IPv6 deployment expertise
Understanding of ITIL processes
