Job Overview:

Nykaa is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate Manager – Design with strong experience in both retail and website design. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of printing processes, retail design principles, and digital design for websites. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring the Nykaa brand vision to life through innovative and high-quality design solutions across both physical and digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Retail Design & Print Management:

– Lead the design and execution of in-store branding and visual displays, ensuring alignment with Nykaa’s brand identity.

– Develop creative concepts for retail environments, including POP displays, window displays, signage, and more.

– Manage the end-to-end printing process, including material selection, vendor coordination, and quality assurance.

– Stay updated on the latest printing technologies and materials to ensure the highest quality of execution and innovation in retail design.

2. Website Design:

– Oversee and execute website design projects, maintaining brand consistency and enhancing user experience across Nykaa’s digital platforms.

– Design engaging, user-friendly layouts and interfaces for product pages, landing pages, banners, and other website components.

– Work closely with the web development and digital marketing teams to implement design updates and optimize visual elements for performance and conversion.

3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

– Collaborate with the marketing, brand, and retail teams to translate business needs into impactful design solutions.

– Communicate design concepts and provide guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure brand coherence across all channels.

– Partner with external vendors, printers, and agencies to execute projects on time and within budget.

4. Project & Process Management:

– Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.

– Establish efficient processes for design approvals, revisions, and feedback loops.

– Maintain and manage design assets and ensure they are accessible and organized.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. 6+ years of experience in design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Printing Knowledge: Strong expertise in printing processes, materials, and vendor management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other relevant design tools. Knowledge of HTML/CSS for web design is a plus.
• Creativity & Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to create visually compelling designs with a keen eye for detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
• Organizational Skills: Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
