Onit Hiring for Data Migration Developer at Pune, India Full Time

We are looking for a Data Migration Developer to join our team in Pune, India.

We are looking for a candidate to play a key role in moving application data from client’s existing system to Onit applications. The candidates will need to work with Project managers and customers to guide them on migrating their legacy data.

As a Data Migration Developer role, you should have the following skills:-

• Should have worked on migrating application data from one application to the other.

• Thorough knowledge on ETL framework and should have worked with on ETL  for at least 2 years.

• Proficient with SQL and fundamental relational database concepts.

• Good understanding of tools used for Version control systems and continuous integration tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide feedback to customers regarding their legacy data and help them in getting their data migrated.

  The candidate will be required to perform the following responsibilities:-

• Define migration mapping and migration staging structure

• Manage the migration activities for multiple projects within the stipulated deadlines

• Responsible for fixing issues raised because of Migrations

• Participate in peer reviews of code and suggest coding best practices

• Participate in brainstorming discussion to build better solutions for the customer

  Desired Skills:-

• Pentaho ETL experience

• Ruby Programming Skills would be a good to have skill in the candidate

• Having experience in Enterprise Application troubleshooting  would be an added advantage

• Experience in designing and migrating workloads to an AWS Cloud environment

• Experience in PostgreSQL

  Education:-

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
