Position:
DevOps Engineer Description: Oracle is currently seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to assist automating builds and deployments for our Insurance applications. These are cloud and web-based, service-oriented, multi-tiered, client-server JEE implementations built using Oracle technologies. We are updating our existing production software with the latest Oracle technologies and enhancing our Insurance business model to cover more Insurance products, processes, and regions. The candidate should have experience automating the builds and deployment processes, configuring deployment environments for application software, maintaining the environments and tooling supporting them, and documenting these configurations and processes. Strong Linux and Windows environment management and configuration skills are necessary. The candidate should also have experience performing and automating software builds.
Required Skills:

• Build automation using Hudson, shell, and Python scripts.
• Experience with Maven and WLST scripting.
• Experience with build tools, build systems, and configuration management best practices in large multi-team, multi-technology organizations.
• Experience configuring and deploying WebLogic applications.
• Experience configuring and deploying applications on Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience maintaining applications using Oracle DB.
• Experience maintaining and documenting deployments in multiple environments for multiple teams (Dev, QA, Demo, Production).

Desired Skills:

• Experience configuring and deploying cloud-based applications
• Automation Tools knowledge and exposure is desirable (Automation of installations through Ansible / Puppet tools, etc)
• Experience configuring and deploying WebLogic clusters
• Experience with administering OracleDB 12c and multi-tenancy features
• Experience with administering Oracle SOA Suite
• SVN repository maintenance
• Exposure working on Virtualization, Devops setup and environments

Minimum Experience:

• 4+ Years’ experience with required skill set described above

Minimum Education:

• 4-Year degree in Computer Science or similarly disciplined field and experience

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform detailed design based on provided high level design specifications. Assist in system planning, scheduling and implementation. Build enhancements (including new product features) and resolve bugs. Build and execute unit test and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Interact with QA and porting engineering about problems in the code.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
