Job Description
We are looking for a highly capable, self-motivated and independent Golden Gate Administrators based in India.
The Oracle Golden Gate Administrator will need to understand large, complex systems; will have a successful track record establishing multiple, successful implementations of software utilizing Oracle RAC and Golden Gate product installations; and demonstrates a strong aptitude for learning new applications and a willingness to take on challenges. The selected candidate will join the Infrastructure team to support the GoldenGate administration and Oracle database needs of multiple teams including development, test, data, reporting, sustainment, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and documenting technical and conceptual specifications in support of the overall program GoldenGate and database designs.
Supporting the design, development and ongoing operations of the GoldenGate and database applications and environments.
Setup and integration of multiple GoldenGate installations with various components of the system.
Working closely with other DBAs and development teams to define requirements and develop solutions to complex problems.
Working closely with DBAs, developers and testers to improve performance and data quality.
Working to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet program goals and deliverable objectives.
Other tasks and activities as assigned or directed by the Infrastructure Manager.
Education and Required Experience:
BE/BS degree and 7 to 9 years of related experience.
5+ years hands-on experience using and supporting GoldenGate 12c and higher
Solid understanding of Oracle databases, Exadata, and Solaris
Experience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture and configuration
Experience supporting reporting and other business processes using high-volume data sources across SDLC environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod)
Desired Experience
Demonstrated experience Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting GoldenGate on Oracle RAC in a Unix environment.
Experience configuring GoldenGate to support ongoing replication of large Oracle databases within a complex architecture.
Experience configuring GoldenGate downstream mining and integrated components for active-active replication.
Experience configuring GoldenGate adapters and connectors.
Experience configuring GoldenGate Studio or integrating with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Experience in detecting and resolving errors in GoldenGate active-active replication environments.
Experience performing GoldenGate upgrades, replication, error resolution, and restarts without data loss.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, demonstrate strong problem solving skills and is successful when working in Integrated Product Teams.
Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple, dynamic and competing priorities.
Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to solve problems quickly.
