This individual would be a member of the SaaS Cloud Operations division, which is responsible for day-to-day management of the many hundreds of thousands of systems used to provide multiple suites of cloud services to Oracle’s customers globally. Provision of cloud services necessitates compliance in the operation of these systems and management of data & security thereof with an ever-increasing number of regulatory/auditing frameworks, including but not limited to:
C5
FedRAMP
HIPAA
IRAP
ISO
PCI
SOC; and
an increasing number of others, particularly internationally.
The individual in this role would be assigned to become an expert in the operations of one or more of Oracle’s many SaaS services and then responsible for evidence collection for that service(s) for presentation to third party auditors in support of their certification/attestation of Oracle in the specific contexts of the aforementioned frameworks. Types of evidence to be collected include, for each cloud service, and for example:
End-to-end asset inventory collection for a given cloud service;
Deployment architecture diagrams and descriptions;
Server build & provisioning process documentation;
Server sample test results;
Penetration testing-identified vulnerability remediation;
Server security configurations and audit script execution and output;
among others.
The position entails fostering and maintenance of positive business relationships with all echelons, from technical staff to senior management, across Oracle’s multiple in-company verticals; understanding of the nature of cloud services and the evidences being collected; and presentation of these wares both via Oracle’s Jira-based ticketing & bug tracking systems and directly to auditors via interactive audit interviews and to Oracle management, all toward successful audits.
Qualifications:
Required:
Excellent communications skills; demonstrated ability to use multiple avenues of communication (verbal, written, ticketing, messaging, etc.). Maintenance of effective communications about any audit-relevant risks and inputs toward continually striving to automate commodity tasks are paramount.
Ability to adjust and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic, globally distributed work environment, crossing multiple time zones.
2-3 years experience with various technology domains including aspects of Unix/Linux, Windows, and/or database administration, information security, software development, and network management.
Preferred:
Computer Science & Engineering, Information Systems Management, and/or Cyber Security degrees preferred.
Strong knowledge of IT auditing and controls, preferably with C5, FedRAMP, HIPAA, IRAP, ISO, PCI, and/or SOC preferred.
Amenability to perform limited travel (post-pandemic) preferred.
CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSK, CCSP, QSA, PCIP, and/or PMP certifications a plus.
Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro?mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment
Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro?mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.
