Job Description

Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) is responsible for implementing, running, and improving nearly all of Oracle’s Enterprise Applications: CRM, HCM, Financials, SCM etc. OAL runs the Oracle software that runs Oracle, enable enhancements based on our experience and share best practices with the customers.

The applications technology group manages Oracle’s corporate systems (both on-premise and in Oracle Cloud) including the global corporate analytics systems. Its a global team of enterprise architects, BI architects, systems engineers, data scientists, software engineers, integrations specialists, technical program managers, release engineers, and security experts providing the foundation and common technology services to all OAL pillars. The team is responsible for system architecture, technology standards and best practices, CICD and SRE, monitoring and automation, and security and audit.

The current position is for a Senior Developer role in the Applications Technology group that is part of Oracle Application Labs (OAL) organization. The candidate will be working in the CI/CD domain that deals with tools and frameworks that help in the Automated Releases of Various OAL applications on Oracle Cloud Platform. The Candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, building and maintaining the automation tools and infrastructure needed to successfully move features from development through QA to deployment. He/She will be managing and building CI/CD pipelines, and overseeing infrastructure availability, scalability and security.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands on knowledge on CI/CD Pipelines and has to be a Full Stack Developer. He/She will be responsible for the automation of CI/CD System for OAL Applications by applying the Full Stack Development Skills.

Job Requirements include

• BS or MS in Computer Science or engineering or a related discipline

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience along with at least 3+ years of release and CI/CD engineering experience with solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment and operations concepts.

• Experience with devOps tools and automation of operational processes.

• Excellent knowledge of Git, Jira, and Jenkins is a must

• Knowledge and hands on experience of Linux Containers(Docker), Kubernetes, Istio configurations, deployment of Cloud native containerized applications and Micro Services architecture is a must.

• Hands on experience in any of the UI frameworks like React/Angular/Jet and any MicroService frameworks like Node, Spring-boot is a must.

• 5+ years’ experience developing software or scripting with any of Java, Javascript, Python or UNIX shell scripting language such as Bash

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
