Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Postgres SQL Developer and Administrator to join our team and help us maintain and improve our company’s database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Postgres SQL development and administration, with experience in database design, optimization, and maintenance. You will be responsible for designing and implementing database solutions, ensuring their performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Postgres SQL databases for the organization.
• Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for maximum performance and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues and performance problems.
• Develop and maintain database documentation and data dictionaries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design specifications.
• Develop and maintain database integrations with other business systems.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the database systems.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in database technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Postgres SQL development and administration.
• Proficient in database design and optimization, query tuning, and stored procedures development.
• Experience in database backup and recovery, security, and access control.
• Familiarity with database integrations with other business systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of other database systems such as MySQL or Oracle is a plus.
