Role Overview

Pahle India Foundation (PIF) headed by Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar, former Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog is inviting applications for “Research Associate(s)/ Sr Research Associate(s) from Uttar Pradesh”. She/he will be responsible for conducting economic research, drafting policy papers, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to the foundation’s thought leadership in economic policy. This role requires strong analytical skills, independent research capabilities, and a deep understanding of India’s economic and policy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on economic policies
• Draft policy briefs, research papers, and reports for publication.
• Engage with government institutions, policymakers, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders.
• Organize and participate in policy discussions, roundtables, and conferences.
• Work collaboratively with PIF’s research teams to align projects with institutional goals.
• Contribute to media outreach, op-eds, and public engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Master’s, MPhil, or PhD in Economics or related fields from reputed universities/ institutes only
• Minimum 3 years of experience in economic research, public policy, consulting, or academia.
• Strong preference would be given to candidates based out of Uttar Pradesh
• Experience of working with think tanks, academic institutions or government agencies
• Proficiency in data analysis, econometrics, and research methodologies.
• Ability to design project proposals and Lead, Independently manage Research Projects
• Orientation for applied policy research
• Ability to identify and search for various data sources, analyse and interpret data
• Adept at using statistical analysis and econometric techniques
• Ability to think independently, effective writing skills
• Proficiency in making presentations, writing proposals, report writing and high quality analytical work delivering high accuracy in all work products
• Team player, highly motivated, particular about observing deadlines and prepared for outcome-based performance evaluation
• Good publication record including analytical articles, research outputs, project reports
• Ability to organise seminars, discussions or consultations

Remuneration – As per industry norms and dependent on skill sets
