Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to help drive external and internal customer service quality and accounts receivable process efficiencies through the Company’s continued high pace of growth. This person will perform accounts receivable tasks while working with key stakeholders, support projects, and participate in process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact
Own monthly accounts receivable close procedures, including preparation of journal entries, GL reconciliations, uploading transactions to SAP, and close presentations
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis for month-end close
Perform accounts receivable analytics and trends to support monthly and quarterly reporting
Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls
Monitor non-standard billings to ensure proper invoicing and quantify month-close adjustment when needed
Prepare schedules to support external audit and internal team deliverables
Review order upload templates for SAP order creation to support post-acquisition billings of acquired companies
Support accounts receivable related system implementations and perform or review user acceptance testing
Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Identify and collaborate with cross-functional business partners and third parties to implement best practices, automation and continuous process improvements
Your Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or relative area with 3+ years experience or 6+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree (high tech company experience preferred) or equivalent military experience required
3+ years of corporate M&A experience with a deep understanding of pre and post-acquisition accounting treatment
Experience with SAP ERP required
Experience with GetPaid, HighRadius, Salesforce, Blackline and GTreasury are a plus
Experience with high technology clients in the Hardware, Software and/or SaaS space a plus
Familiarity with close processes, account reconciliation, and journal entry preparation
Critical thinker with a risk-based approach mindset and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to build relationships across multiple functions and implement new processes
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and execute with accuracy and efficiency
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
Proficiency in Google Suite a plus

Our Accounts Receivable team responds to external and internal requests daily, supports non-standard transactions and works cross-functionally with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, high level of accuracy, resourceful, organizational and time management skills. We partner closely with credit and collections, order fulfillment, revenue, and other operational stakeholders to ensure proper billings and provide solutions to our customers’ needs.
